Is There a God?

  Let’s think rationally for a minute. Where did we come from? Where did the earth, sky, and galaxies come from? DaVinci painted the Mona Lisa. The strokes of a paint brush creates beautiful pictures. Beethoven created spectacular symphonies. Beethoven’s mind created the rhythms and the sequence of notes that gave the world beautiful music. Michelangelo sculpted the statue of David and painted the Sistine Chapel ceiling. People created wonderful works of art and music. Without DaVinci there would not be a Mona Lisa. Without Beethoven there would not be a 5th symphony.  Without a creator there would be no creation! 

God is the creator of the world, the trees, the animals, the oceans, the fish, the sky, the planets, the universe according to Genesis 1:1-31.

God is a God of order, not chaos. Chaos is random, complete disorder, and confusion. God is a God of design. Math is created by God. Science is created by God. The Fibonacci sequence is an example found in nature. This is part of God’s creation.

God told us in the first book, Genesis 1:1 “In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth.” You can ignore the science of the human body, the astronomical mathematical statistics that we evolved from a once cell ameba into fully functioning humans by chance. The earth could have been created by an explosion in space known as the Big Band Theory. But who created the explosion. The fact is to have a creation there must be a creator. John 1:3 says "Through Him (God) all things are made; without Him nothing is made that has been made." David in Psalm 33:9 declares, "For he spoke, and it came to be; he commanded, and it stood firm." God says we have no excuse for not believing in him. Romans 1:20 says, "For since the creation of the world God's invisible qualities--his eternal power and divine nature--have been clearly seen, being understood from what has been made, so that people are without excuse."     There is a God!  

Your beliefs direct your path, your life, and shapes your values. It is easier to believe we are created by an all knowing, all powerful God, than to believe our world and all the animal species were created by chance? 

During this bible study, if you accept there is a God, you will be able to open your mind and heart to God's words (the bible) and to God. You will look at your life differently. You will look at the world differently.

Don’t worry about sounding professional. Sound like you. There are over 1.5 billion websites out there, but your story is what’s going to separate this one from the rest. If you read the words back and don’t hear your own voice in your head, that’s a good sign you still have more work to do.

Be clear, be confident and don’t overthink it. The beauty of your story is that it’s going to continue to evolve and your site can evolve with it. Your goal should be to make it feel right for right now. Later will take care of itself. It always does.

Relationships

The first earthly relationship was between God and Adam. Why would God want a relationship with humans? God created everything, heaven, hell, angels, earth, space, animals, mankind! God is love 1 John 4:16. God created angels to love. God created animals to love. God created humans to love. Because God loves us, he gives us a choice to love him. God doesn’t want robots. He doesn’t want to make us love him. That choice to love or reject God is called free will.

God has been rejected before he made mankind. In heaven, God created millions angels, but only refers to three by name in the Bible, Lucifer, Gabriel, Micheal, Lucifer is described as beautiful, powerful, intelligent, in high position blameless in your ways from the day you were created till wickedness was found in you (Ezekiel 28:15). What was the sin? Pride! Pride is an emotional state of believing highly of yourself. Lucifer forgot he was a created being and believed he was better than God. Lucifer said in his heart, I will ascend to heaven; I will raise my throne above the stars of God. I will sit enthroned on the mount of assembly, on the utmost high. I will make myself like the Most High. Isaiah 14: 12-14. God told Lucifer to leave heaven and those who wanted to follow Lucifer must leave too. A third of the angels decided to leave God and follow Satan. God does not want anyone to be with him, if they choose not too.

After God created Adam from the dust of the ground and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life (Gen 2:7). God talked with him, walked with him, and gave him a job. God ask Adam to name all the animals. God gave Adam a command. Whenever, man has a choice we are at risk of making the wrong choice. God is aware of our weaknesses, but he is also aware of our potential. God gives us choices to help us grow and mature.
