Why We Need God
Not knowing will effect your eternity!
Who is God?
God has always existed. God has no beginning and no end, like a circle or ring. God is sovereign meaning God is supreme power, knowing everything there is to know. Since the creation of man people have believed in a god. Believing is a god is not the same as believing in the God. Every culture as had a god to explain the creation, but that is a trick of the evil one to fool mankind from believing in the one true God.
Is there a God?
Yes! I think you know that too. It is hard to believe humans came into exists through a one cell ameba evolving over millions of years to developed into fully functioning humans. Do you really believe there was a time and an event that “Poof” and we existed through a big bang? Where did we come from? Where did the earth, the sky, and the galaxies come from? God! Who or what is God? God is an all knowing, perfect, omnipresent (is everywhere at the same time), loving, spiritual creator. God is the Father of creation. God is the creator of all things. God is love. God is divine. God is wisdom. God is sovereign. God is ruler of the universe. God is just. God the alpha and the omega, the beginning and the end (Rev 22:13). Faith is the confidence or assurance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen (Heb 11:1). Facts are facts. So what are the facts?
Trinity
What is a the Trinity? The Trinity (Latin: Trinitas, lit. 'triad', from Latin: trinus 'threefold') is the central doctrine concerning the nature of God in most Christian churches . The trinity is defines as one God existing in three coequal, coeternal, and codivine persons. God the Father, God the Son (Jesus), and God the Holy Spirit, three distinct persons sharing one essence/substance/nature. I don’t think as a human in our dimension we can truly comprehend this concept. We just believe it because we believe in God, that is faith. I’ve heard of a few examples to help us comprehend this concept. Think of an egg. There is a shell, the yolk, and the whites. One egg, three parts. Here is another one, time past, present, and future. It’s all time, but three different aspects of time. An apple has three parts, the skin, the flesh of the apple, and the seeds. The different parts, but all make up one apple. You get the idea. Each person of the trinity has their own function, purpose, and identity.
Each person of the Trinity has a different purpose. We will discuss their purpose
I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.
- John 14:6
